A brief profile of the company

IBM (International Business Machines Corporation) Deutschland GmbH currently employs around 21,000 people at about 40 locations and is IBM’s largest country company in Europe. Since November 2006 Martin Jetter has been CEO of the company, which is headquartered in Vaihingen, Stuttgart. In Germany, IBM’s activities consist of sales and services along with numerous development tasks within the framework of the Group’s worldwide internal division of labor. IBM Deutschland Entwicklung GmbH, located in Böblingen, is with around 1,800 employees – computer scientists, engineers and technicians – the largest IBM development center outside of the United States.
